As they say, the quickest way to someone’s heart is through their stomach! And what better, quicker way is there to spread some cheer and get warm for winter (while safely at home of course) than with these holiday spirits, which will make the season merry and bright. We recreated three cocktails with a holiday spin that you can have fun making at home. These all use a vodka base and some similar ingredients so you won’t need to purchase to many items to recreate them, and next time we’ll be covering rum drinks! Enjoy!
This holiday version of a Moscow mule uses a seasonal favorite: cranberry juice! I like unsweetened, 100% real juice, but if you have a sweet tooth and like your cocktails on the sweeter side, use juice from concentrate. Finish it all off with some ginger beer and this classic is super refreshing to sip on while you’re watching your favorite holiday movie.
This martini will have you saying, “More peppermint, please!” A refreshing, minty treat, this rich cocktail uses vanilla liqueur, which can be substituted with white chocolate liqueur instead if you want them to be snowy white. Peppermint is one of my favorite holiday tastes, so this is sure to be one I make again and again each year.
A slightly adapted version of the cocktail created by Inspired by Charm, this one is STRONG! If you’re in the mood to get St. Nick-style jolly, this one’s for you! To make it more palatable, I recommend adding some more half-and-half. This will make enough to serve three: one for you, one for your partner and then another one for you! If you’re a fan of dirty chai lattes, this is perfect cocktail for you because it combines chai tea, vodka and coffee liqueur.
If you’ve made it this far into the post, thank you for being one of the few that actually reads this blog (I’m looking at you, mom!) and happy holidays from our Editour family to yours! Be safe this season, limit going outside as much as possible (unless to go to the grocery store to grab some booze to recreate these, of course) and stay safe. As always, tell us what content you want to see more of and leave any suggestions in the comments below (no, really, please do so I don’t feel like I’m talking to myself!). Happy holidays! #imaneditour
