Take the Quiz: What’s Your Holiday Décor Style?

Here at Editour Media, Christmas is our favorite season for good reason! It’s the most wonderful time of year because it gives us an yet another excuse to decorate the house (duh) and make an unnecessary HomeGoods run; stores are open late, which means we can shop at Target until 11 o’clock and pretend like we’re buying other people’s gifts when in fact we’re stocking up on more holiday shit we don’t need; you can binge on sugar cookies and hot cocoa while hiding all that holiday shame under your favorite raggedy hoodie; there are tons of ugly sweater parties where you can wear sweaters that are way more cute than ugly; there’s a genre of music solely dedicated to this special time of year; AND, at the end of the year to top it all off, it culminates on a magical day when you get to open presents! Need we say more?

If you haven’t decorated already (which, chances are, you’re not as obsessed with Christmas as us, so you probably haven’t yet), we’re here to help you decide what décor style to decorate in this year! Trim the tree with glee and buy those ornaments knowing that you made the right choice. If you celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa and don’t feel included in this, take this quiz anyway to see what you would have done for Christmas had you been born a basic witch like us.

Simply take the following quiz by writing down the number of each of your answers on a piece of paper (sorry ladies, this isn’t Buzzfeed). Then, find your results at the end! Let’s get started.

Now, look at your answers and see what you got the most of. Drum roll, please …

Mostly 1s: Make It Rein, Dear!

You’re elegant, timeless and sentimental during this time of year. You love the classics so much that the traditional red, white and green with accents of silver color palette is for you! After all, if it ain’t broke, why fix it? You’re a good old-fashioned, Christmas-loving bitch—and we are living for it! Try trimming your tree with silver bells, simple garlands and sparkly snowflakes, with pops of red and pearly whites mixed in. Go on, have yourself a merry little Christmas. (Source:

Mostly 2s: Blush Crush

You’re sweet, flirty, can shop ’til you drop and are a big softie at heart, so your Christmas style should match! Opt for blush and gold with hints of white on a flocked tree this season. Your significant other might not be a fan, but let’s be honest—you wear the pants in this relationship. Do the damn thang, girl! Think outside of the box with floral garlands, faux fur white throws and glittery gold anything. To be honest, you love shopping so much that you probably have all the materials on hand already. (Source:,

Mostly 3s: Aquamarine Dream

You love the ocean and hate the cold, but a nautical theme for Christmas isn’t quite your style. Instead, opt for a subtle palette that makes you want to scream, “Let it snow!” Aqua, deep blues and hints of silver are where it’s at for you. This palette is fun and playful, yet still a go-to color scheme for many Christmas die-hards. But let’s be honest—is your snowbird ass even going to decorate this year or are you just going to hop on a plane to a warmer climate where you can avoid people on an island like the true vacation of your dreams? Mostly 4s: Rainbow Bright and to All a Good Night

Honey, you’re unconventional and almost too unique for Christmas itself! Screw the regular reds and greens and celebrate your inner wild child with a rainbow palette this year. Anything can be Christmas décor if you try hard enough—that’s the spirit! You’re a bad-ass wench with a sense of humor, so you don’t take all this holiday mumbo jumbo too seriously. You spread more joy to family and friends than Saint Nick ever could in one night, and for that we love you! (Source: Women’s Day, John Lewis)

Mostly 5s: Owl Be Rustic for Winter

You love the great outdoors and will probably be spending more time frolicking in the snow than warm and cozy by the fireside this winter. So, bring the outdoors in with a flocked tree (real of course, you’d never even dream of artificial stuff) and deck that shit in woodland creatures head to toe! Think pine-cones, owl ornaments, burlap ribbon, dark faux-fur pillows, fresh evergreen garlands and wool accents. We can’t relate to your outdoorsy, adventurous spirit but we’ll be admiring it from afar … safely on our couch at home. (Source:, Pottery Barn)

Mostly 6s: I’ll Take You to the Candy Shop

You’re so sweet that if you lived at the North Pole, you’d be Santa’s ride-or-die little helper (#sorrynotsorry, move over Mrs. Claus). Peppermint is your to-go flavor: for desserts, for candle scents and, now, for décor! You deserve the candy-covered tree of your saccharine dreams, so go for it! For ornaments, think gingerbread men, lollipops, candy canes, gumdrops, donuts, cupcakes and all things that will give you diabetes while you’re dreaming of sugarplum fairies this season. You’re a whimsical bitch, so don’t be afraid to get oversize ornaments that’ll make you feel all cute and dainty in comparison. Who needs The Elf on a Shelf when we’ve got you, babe? (Source:, Decoor)

Mostly 7s: Very Merry Vintage

You’re a scrappy, vintage-loving girl and store-bought just ain’t going to cut it! You know that they just don’t make things like they used to, so Target and artificial trees just won’t do this season. Hit up a thrift store, garage sale or your local flea market and haggle like there’s no tomorrow! Not only will you feel good knowing that you saved some coin—you’ll also sleep easier knowing that you’re repurposing preloved treasures while saving the planet by recycling that tinsel tree your great grandfather used to have. This color palette is all over the place, so your creativity is your only limit. (Source: Pinterest, Pinterest, Pinterest)
